My BFF Kim invited me to join her on Pinterest a couple of weeks ago and it's made it so much easier to link to things I think are cute, interesting, or want to try. It's an online pinboard that lets you organize and share things you love.
How does it work?
It's easy! You join and can repin things your friends (called followers) have pinned or create your own pins by downloading the "Pin It" button into your Bookmarks Bar, then pushing it whenever you have something interesting you want to share. You have to have a photo for it to be recognized. "Pinning" adds your interest, as a pictured link with a brief description, to a public board where it can be viewed and repinned. It also adds the info to your own personal account, sort of archiving things. You can organize your pins into different categories, called boards.
I love it! Mostly because I see a lot of interesting stuff in my Google Reader that I want to remember but forget to revisit. Pinterest neatly organizes things for me and reminds me with pictures. I have boards for Recipes (of course!), Fashion, Beauty, Home, even Politics/Policy.
I especially like when my pins are repinned. It makes me feel helpful :)
Message me if you want a Pinterest invite!
Happy Monday peeps!
Hugs and kisses,
Bethany
