Despite a rocky start (cold, rainy weather and an emergency change of venue) the BNHC October Meet was another smashing success. The theme was a Halloween Hair-a-Thon, though my half attempt was a style I rock on a regular basis (I ran out of time, *kanye shrug*). We sorta took over Teavolve (ha!) and they had to split us in two groups, but it was a blast!
After the meet, a few of us went on a spontaneous thrifting mission. My mom and grandma are professional thrifters, and I guess tagging along with them taught me some skills. I found great pieces, my favorite being a wicker picnic basket for $3.90. I love wicker, and can't wait to use it! Other finds were a beautiful coral-colored silk shirt, a sparkly gold sweater, a pair of dress jeans, and a pair of wool-blend short pants. I spent less than $25, plus $15 to have some things dry-cleaned. Not bad! Pics below.
