Healthy Snacking: 100+ Ideas

I'm on a mission to gain weight, about 7-10 lbs, so I've met with a Dietitian here at Howard and developed a plan.

First, I'm keeping a journal of when and what I eat. I discovered that I really don't eat much, usually skipping breakfast and under-eating at lunch or opting for fatty, processed foods. I'm working to fix that.

Another part of the plan is to cut back on running (*sob) and incorporate more weight-training into my exercise curriculum. I might be able to bring myself to talk about that more in a later post.

The final part of the plan, which I'm still working on getting into the habit of, is to snack frequently between meals. Not junk snacking, which is how I ate before, but wholesome options. It's been hard. Finding truly healthy, dietitian-approved, pre-made snacks is hard, which means lots of planning, prepping, and remembering to carry snacks along with me.

I found this genius list of healthy snacks on Pinterest. Some of these ingredients I've never heard of and some recipes gross me out, but most look promising. I'm going to pick three ideas to try this week...can't wait to begin experimenting.
