When The Wash-n-Go Fails

My Trademark Wash-n-Go
I have come to face the truth that I can no longer wear my hair in a wash'n'go.

That is, I can't just condition in the shower, hop out, apply a hair serum, let it air dry, and go on with my morning. My hair is too long, it gets tangled. It swallows my very cute, heart-shaped face. No more curly afro rocking for me if I want the healthiest hair possible.

It's a sad day.

Alas, I shall have to start wearing my hair in pinned-up twists or twist-outs or in rod sets or just stretched and pinned up. I'll scour through Nap85's videos and figure something out.

Actual work. And trust, it gets labor intensive. I have even more hair than I appear to, and I appear to have a lot of hair. Very thick, very dense, long, extremely curly, very fine strands of especially finicky hair. Unless you come bearing the gift of an oil/water mixture, then it's perfectly behaved. So spoiled!

Don't even ask if I want to go out on a Saturday night. No, I'll be home doing my hair.

I really want a set of Curlformers. I would definitely need at least one extra long, wide kit, maybe two. $70 a pop. Insane. The hoops they make us curly girls jump through. It's not fair.

Granted I could just buy a bunch of flexi rods for way cheaper with equal results, but they're not cool or trending. A one time cost of $140 isn't that much considering I don't frequent a salon and spend very little on hair products.

Who am I kidding? It'll be the flexi rods unless I win a set of Curlformers or someone gifts them to me :)

Hugs and kisses peeps,

Bethany
