The semester is almost over and Christmas vacation is almost here! My vacation begins next Thursday and I am so looking forward to it. I've already started packing my suitcase.
I have to finish off strong. I'm almost finished teaching for the semester, and since I co-taught both classes, no grading! Also, I have to get through an annual review. And, I have two exams due this week. For my first final, I designed a research project to test if a coloring app for adult users provided the same calming, creative experience as the printed coloring pages. Crayola has a line of coloring pages, Crayola Color Escapes, specifically designed for adults! They're so much fun, especially with these master tips! I prefer print--old school I guess; but, I suspect the study participants will prefer print as well. There is something so relaxing about the sound of pencils scratching across paper. I got the nature pack and hope to finish a least one page during the break.
And, I have to finish that second final. Way less fun, but it'll make me an expert on search engine optimization.
This year, I've got back to back vacations--a quick trip to Cancun and then, Haiti! My flight to Haiti is on Christmas day and I'm kinda blown by how much money I'm saving by flying on the holiday. I might make it a habit.
