As promised, here's the second scrub! This one is ultra rich and moisturizing, thanks to a combination of cocoa butter, avocado oil, and coconut oil. The cocoa butter also helps even out imperfections, for a healthy and glowy complexion.
Exfoliating sloughs off the dead skin cells and will allow you to really absorb the butter and oil from this scrub, so make sure you use your body brush before getting in the shower. Brush lightly in a circular motion all over your body, with special attention to problem areas. This step feels so good, like a mini massage, and it acts to gently exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and stimulate blood circulation.
Your skin will feel all kinds of soft after this treatment. It's my go-to for days when my skin feels especially dry.
Ingredients:
1/2 C Cocoa Butter or Shea Butter. Cocoa butter is a natural moisturizer high in fatty acids that penetrate the skin for deep hydration.
3 Tbsp Avocado Oil. Avocado oil is rich in vitamins A, E, B1, B2 and D plus amino acids and essential fatty acids that promote a healthy complexion.
3 Tbsp Coconut Oil. Coconut Oil is naturally anti-microbial and super hydrating to help restore moisture to dry skin.
1/4 C Coconut Flakes. Coconut flakes act as little exfoliators, gently buffing away dry skin.
1/4 C Epsom Salt. An awesome exfoliator, Epsom Salt contains magnesium and sulfate which are natural detoxifiers when absorbed through the skin.
Directions:
Use a hand mixer to mix the cocoa/shea butter to a fluffy texture. Slowly mix the avocado oil and coconut oil into the butter. Finally, mix in the Epsom Salt and coconut flakes.
Generously apply the scrub all over. Leave this one on the skin for a few minutes to take advantage of the moisturizing properties before rinsing off.
Rinse. Marvel over baby soft skin.
This recipe is for a one time use batch.
Hugs and kisses peeps,
Bethany
