I went swing dancing for the first time last night and had a BLAST! I can't dance and will be practicing it up in the next couple of weeks, but it's so much fun watching the experts move and fumbling around. The best part about swing dancing: a good lead can make you look OK, even if you're clueless :)
Check out West Coast Swing Fridays at Cherry Hill Park in College Park, MD. Admission is $12, which includes a 1-hour lesson, a night of dancing, and refreshments (candy, cookies, fruit, cheese, crackers, soda/juice, etc). Lots of free parking, the venue is really nice, and so are the people! Definitely worth the price and a great spot for a date :)
