Tech Thursday: Nikon D3100

One of my Christmas gifts was a package of photography classes that I'm really excited about beginning. But, I needed a camera. I'd been saving up for something special. Not just a point-and-shoot camera, but a REAL camera with interchangeable lenses and stuff.

I Love It!
I had a few requirements:
  • cost less than $1000
  • lightweight
  • easy-to-operate, a good transition camera for compact users
  • video recording mode
  • rechargeable batteries
I found what I wanted in the Nikon D3100. The 2010 model has gotten excellent reviews and, with the help of a few classes, will be perfect for me!

I'm excited to bring my blog better photographs than the ones offered by my Blackberry and compact HP Photosmart.

A New Phone!
Speaking of upgrades, I recently upgraded my Blackberry Bold to a Samsung Galaxy S II. It's not the iPhone 4S I was considering, but I couldn't resist the Google-based platform and the awesome screen. That, and T-Mobile grandfathered me into my old Fave Five/Unlimited Data plan for a deal I couldn't refuse :) Its been lovely.

Happy Thursday!

Hugs and kisses peeps,

Bethany
