Comfort Food

My scone recipe from the previous post turned out really well, I ended up adding blackberries to the mix by halving the raspberry measurement. Delish.

I've been a bit bummed lately, so I'm doing what I always do to pep myself up--run and bake something yummy for myself. I'm going with homemade cinnamon rolls this time around.

I whipped up a pan of lasagna this weekend to eat off of for the week. I never get through the whole pan by myself, even in a week, so I freeze half of it. I love using ground Chicken Italian Sausage and I usually add a layer of sauteed frozen spinach...nothing else special. It's a pretty good stand-bye.

Why am I bummed? Man issues + end-of-summer-classes stress + I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to do something I'm not exactly crazy about doing but all the signs keep pointing to the fact that I should do it and frankly it scares me but the consequences of not doing it scare me even more...so, yeah. How come all these things hit at once? I could handle them better one at a time. Alas, such is life.
