Life is hard. Sometimes you just need good friends, good food, and a drink. That's pretty much how I felt this weekend, at least. My drink of choice, Amaretto Sour with a fancy cherry via Not Without Salt. The cherries really set things off. Yummy!I'm not supposed to drink alcohol while I detox, but...ehh...peer pressure. I drank a ton of water to counterbalance.
The detox has been interesting. I'm one week in and I've been super tired. I'm good for most of the day, but when I get home in the evenings I just want to veg out on the couch. I cooked most of my meals over the weekend and freeze them, so its just a matter of defrosting something when I get home. That helps a lot as it stops me from grabbing fast food .
You're advised to refrain from strenuous exercise, so I've just gone on a couple of long walks instead of running and have been stretching a bit. I'm knocked out by 10 pm (I wake up at 6 am). It's all over after this week.
