Restaurant Week in DC--a bi-annual, week-long event of cheaper than normal eating out. I love it, especially for lunch.
Lunch trysts are my new favorite thing (in the 'let's meet to eat' sense). I think it's the thrill of escaping. There aren't many good spots in the Shaw/Howard area, but getting out to U St/Logan Circle and beyond...so much fun.
This week, following recommendations from lots of DC friends, we went to The Oval Room. It was amazing.
I failed to note exactly what I was eating, but I would venture to say anything from the menu would be cooked to perfection and delicious. I highly recommend the restaurant.
Service was excellent, we ate three courses in about 45 minutes. Perfect.
Check 'em out.
Hugs and kisses peeps!
