Dominica

One of the perks of a career in higher education is Christmas Break, almost a month of paid vacation time. I visited the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica with a younger brother last year. It was fun, even though it rained a ton.

I decided, today, to visit Dominica, an English-speaking Caribbean island. I can't wait to start planning my trip! The island looks amazing. I love that it's not as tourist-y as some of the Caribbean Islands and has a heavy Rastafarian culture. It seems to have a lot to offer. I might go solo...haven't decided yet.

I'm planning to attend a party at the Dominican Ambassador's residence to learn more about the country and what to expect. So exciting!
