 I've been really into prints this year. I came across The Passion Fruit Vineyard via Facebook and had to have a couple skirts--opted for Passionate Spunk and Playful Passion. Can't wait for them to be delivered!

Playful Passion

I'm still thinking about investing in a sewing machine and taking a couple of classes, but I don't want that ambition to end up like my camera purchase and photography classes--a complete bust in which I discovered my interest in photography is limited and a point-and-shoot camera is all I need. Ended up selling my fancy lens camera to a friend. But sewing could be something different and I could redirect the money from my camera sell to a decent machine. Plus, I could actually make my own clothes...oooh.

I could get carried away purchasing thread and fabric and zippers and buttons, though.

Something to think about.

They're here!! Actually, Ive been rocking my skirts for a couple of weeks now (as of 9/24). I get tons of compliments, especially with Playful Passion. Its so bright and fun and I've actually worn Passionate Spunk to work...its a good length.

My reviews of the brand are positive. The workmanship is good, the stitching is good, and the fabric is bright and vibrant. The skirt are light and airy, great for spring and summer. I may even add a slip and tights and wear them in the Fall. The lengths work well for me, I'm short at 5'2". I do think that Playful Passion has more of a paper bag effect and is a bit shorter, I like wearing a belt with it. Pics below.
