A few kicks I'm super excited to wear this season. Some are returns from past seasons, some are new. I love em all :)
My usual approach to shoe-buying is to get great quality for the cheapest price, which usually means waiting until end-of-season sales to buy. That usually works for my size, 6-6 1/2. I'm pretty easy on shoes, so they'll last me for a few years. The exception has been knee-high boots. I've ended up with a new pair every fall because they're my absolute favorite look and I'll rock them to death. This year I splurged a little bit with these beauties from Zara. I'm hoping to wear them for a couple of years.
Falls get icy in Baltimore, and my favorite accessory for those days isn't a pair of warm socks--it's Stabilicers. They save me from nasty falls and I love them for that--I'm prone to ice slicks. They only work on flat-bottomed shoes, though :(
Anyway, most of my favorite kicks come from Modcloth--it's a vintage-esque online boutique. I can find really unique looks there. The price to quality ratio can be a bit skewed, I admit it. But, you'll generally know what you're getting if you read the item's description and reviews. I usually limit myself to Sale items and I subscribe to their email feed for special offers--it's worth it! I've been pleased with most of my purchases and they have a fantastic return policy. It's quick and easy to send things back and get refunded--I've done that a few times too. Anyway, check em out.
Hugs and kisses peeps,
Bethany
