I had an older Macbook Pro (2008ish), but since I plan to continue with my IA freelance thing I needed something with a bit more power and storage. And something Sims 3 would look amazing on, cause you know, that's important too :)
I'd been planning to purchase an iMac, but I took my savings for that, combined it with funds from the sell of my old Pro, and got a 15" MacBook Pro with Retina display instead. I also took advantage of Apple financing, because I'm jumping on every opportunity to boost my credit and because, well, I still didn't have enough dough to cover the cost of this thing. It was stupid expensive.
But, I LOVE it. I loved my old Pro too, but I've fallen again. It's beautiful and it's a work horse and it does what I want, when I want. I think we'll have a long, happy future together. Apple makes such great computers.
Anyway, I'm confident I can turn enough of a profit freelancing to justify the cost. And, I can write off a portion on my taxes. Sweet :)
