Statistics

nicely done!
I skirted my way through undergrad and grad school without taking a single Statistics course--at my university, you could replace Stats with Computer Programming. I was perfectly fine with that--fantastic. I like programming!

It's caught up to me. I have to take 2 stat classes. *sigh* That makes me sad. In theory, I should like Stats--I love reasoning and collecting data and organizing it. But the word 'statistics' makes me cringe. I think it's mental--I had a bad math experience in high school.

Fortunately, one of my friends is a statistician...seriously, she's getting her Ph.D in biostatistics. She's brilliant and will hopefully be able to help me through if I need her.

And, my stats book is amazing--it's called Intro Statistics: Custom Edition for Oregon State University by DeVeaux and Vellerman. It's super easy to read, has good illustrations and tables, and it's funny--the authors tell jokes. They try to convince you that Stats is fun, I'm not sold, but its definitely one of the most laid back textbooks I've had.

I can do this...easy. Just need to focus.

I'm off to study!

Hugs and kisses peeps!

Bethany
