Perfect Homemade French Fries

I love french fries, but every time I make them at home I'm less than impressed with the results. I can never get them to be soft on the inside and just the right amount of crisp on the outside.

Apparently, the key is to soak the potatoes first then fry them...twice! Pioneer Woman showcased this technique, and I saw it again at Caribbeanpot.com. Apparently frying food twice is a thing. Take note.

And, if you're looking for a great fried chicken recipe, this is it. I would add a bit of buttermilk to that egg mixture though.

That Caribbean Seasoning, boi! Flava for days :) tehehe. Watching Chris always makes me smile--he seems to take such joy in being in the kitchen :)
