AP86 on Yoga, Running, and Lance Reddick

A few weeks ago I started a Fusion Core Yoga Runners class. Core Yoga is a mix of ab-working Pilates
I only Yoga in my VSX Incredible #thebest #yogawhilebusty #thestruggleisreal
and traditional flow yoga. I really liked Pilates and hated yoga at first, mostly because I was really bad at getting the poses exactly right and because I have almost no patience. It was so easy to get frustrated. Plus, I felt a little silly. Our class is in an open area and people stop to watch. I hate that. Seriously. Gym watchers are a pet peeve of mine and of course, they're almost always men. #goaway #creep But, I'm slowly improving, not worrying about the creeps, and starting to understand the yoga hype. It is really relaxing, and I'm getting to be so flexible. I can almost do a split. There may be a yoga spa retreat in my future, if I get good enough :)

I've been super nervous this week. A couple of great things happened--I was recruited for design work, twice! I'm building a reputation :) Big things poppin! Do people still say that? lol. I want to get a portfolio up online so I can share my public work with y'all. I'm pretty good.

I'm confident, and a little scared. I'm also juggling finals, a major paper, a full-time gig, small group, a relationship, friends, and family. I am so far behind in my school work and feeling so unmotivated--and the semester is wrapping up. I need to find my grind soon. #dudeyougotscholarships #gradschoolstruggle #isignedupforthis

Plus, I'm now a landlord because that house I bought came with tenants, and will have tenants until I can generate the income to pay for renovations. I've been spending time trying to understand the DC landlord/tenant relationship.

And, one of my besties is getting married in Bali. Can I say how non-enthused I am to be flying to Indonesia, post Flight 370. It's terrible, but that incident reminds me sp much of Stephen King's The Langoliers. Hoe does a whole airplane full of people just disappear from the sky, without so much as a trace. #thehorror

Anyway, between running and yoga and swimming, I've remained sane and fit. I also started watching Fringe on Netflix. I find Lance Reddick (Broyles) very sexy--he's older and not especially good looking, but his body and the way he carries himself. #sigh He's from Baltimore--maybe I'll bump into him sometime :) #agirlcandream And Astrid has hair like mine. I hope they develop her character a bit more.
