I can't start this post without mentioning the epic flooding in my home state, and through the parts of the state that hold my heart--the Midlands and the Lowcountry . #sob My family and friends are generally fine, though some have suffered flood-related losses in their home and of their cars. The pictures they've sent and the news reports have been mind blowing. To see the places I know so well with rivers running through them--wow. #praying Where is all that water going to go and how long before it gets cleaned up?This post on a more selfish note, I need to choose a new place to spend Fall Break. The Lowcountry is a mess right now and definite no fun zone. So, I'm staying close to Indy and hitting up Chicago for the first ever Chicago Architectural Biennial (CAB). Chicago architecture is so seriously gorgeous, and I can't wait to check off this list of to-dos, kick it with my favorite Chicagoans, sip wine/eat all-the-pasta my tummy can hold, and have ALL THE FUN before it gets too cold. All the fun, people. You never know what might happen next. #lifethings
Second post point--life is too short to be bored. I'm kinda in awe of how Zim Ugochukwu, the founder of Travel Noire, is building her empire. It's been fun watching her brand grow. Her recent Instagram post is my new mantra:
#yas #shegetsit #busybeingboring #purposefullife #generallyhappy
XOXO xoxo,
Bethany
