Don't judge. These are amazing, especially if you do breakfast for dinner. One of my friends calls them boobsy waffles, lol. They're delicious.Waffles
2 C All-Purpose Flour
1/2 C Sugar
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cinnamon
2 Eggs, separated
2 C Buttermilk
1/2 C Salted Butter
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Mix dry ingredients--flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
In separate, larger bowl, whisk the egg yolk and add the buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla.
Mix the flour mixture into the buttermilk mixture.
Whisk the egg whites until slightly frothy, a few seconds, and stir into the batter. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
Allow the batter to settle, let it sit, for 5 minutes. Prepare your waffle maker and use as instructed.
Hennessy-Infused Maple Butter Syrup
1 Tb Butter
1 C Maple Syrup
1/3 C Hennessy
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the maple syrup, stir, and heat until hot. Add the Hennessey and heat an additional 1 minute. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Serve with fresh fruit, eggs, hashbrowns, and your favorite breakfast meat--or do chicken and waffles.
And, don't forget the mimosas! Good champagne + orange juice
#nom Enjoy!
Hugs and kisses peeps,
Bethany
