Meet my Chromebook

I wrote a post last week about my semi-disappointment with my Mac. Aside from technical complications, I think that vent session had a lot to do with the fact that I was tired of hauling the thing around--it's heavy.

I wanted something lighter that I could carry in my bag without feeling burdened, something that wasn't a $1000+ Macbook, and something that would allow me to do basic things like type a document/spreadsheet/powerpoint and hop on the internet.

Enter Chromebook. #dumdumdum #cheer I'll preface this by saying aside from my work Outlook calendar (which I sync to Google Calendar), I run my life in Google--Gmail, Google Calendar, Blogger, Google Drive, even my Samsung Droid runs off Google. So a laptop that runs on a Chrome-based platform, that seamlessly syncs all those Google things for me, is a win.

Chromebook has a few options--I went fairly low-end, a refurbished Hisense Chromebook C11 11.6" Cloud Computer for $89. It looks like one of those old school black Macs but thinner and lighter. I've only had it for a few hours, but I think I'm going to love it. It was really easy to set up and it seems like a decent computer, especially for light, everyday use.

Hugs and kisses peeps,

Bethany
