DIY LUSH Inspired Bombs: Sex Bomb and Lavender Bomb Dupes

I'm almost an exclusive bath taker. It's such a perfect way to end the day and baths at night help me sleep better. I like LUSH bath bombs but they're so expensive, so I've learned to make my own. These are fun to make during a girl group get-together--as a church small group bonding activity or a get-together with your favorite girls.

Essential oils are a bit pricey up front, but an investment in your favorite scents will last for dozens of bath bombs. Make sure you're using a pure oil with no fillers!

You'll Need:
1 C Baking Soda
1/2 C Citric Acid, powdered* (for fizz) or Cream of Tartar (no fizz)
1/2 C Corn Starch
1/2 C Epsom Salts
3 tsp Coconut Oil, melted
Essential Oils*
1 tsp Witch Hazel
5-6 drops of Food Coloring, any color of your choosing (optional)

* For the Sex Bombs:
1 tsp Jasmine Essential Oil
1/2 tsp Clary Sage Essential Oil
1/2 tsp Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

For the Lavender Bombs:
2 tsp Lavender Essential Oil

In a large mixing bowl, add all of the dry ingredients together and whisk until combined.

In a separate, smaller mixing bowl add all of the wet ingredients together (essential oils, water, witch hazel, and food coloring) and stir.

Slowly combine the contents of the smaller bowl with the contents of the larger bowl and whisk until clumpy.

Use an ice cream scoop to form the mixture into a tight ball. Once the mixture is molded into a ball let it dry out for a day. This recipe makes a single bomb--double or triple it as desired. Extra bombs can be stored in an airtight container.

For cuter bombs, let them dry in shaped silicone muffin molds. You can also add glitter, dried flowers, and crushed herbs for a more luxurious experience.
