I was in Belize in June, exploring how Belizean primary school teachers access the internet and assessing their information needs. It was a quick, informal analysis and served as a means to streamline my research interests.
Last week, I was at an international conference where I met with the Belizean national librarian to discuss how to continue my research in a way that both supports my research needs and makes an actual difference in the Belizean community. She invited me back to Belize during my Christmas Break, and of course, I said yes!
Here we go again. This time, I'm mostly planning my own agenda and I think I want to visit parts of Mexico and maybe, Guatemala. But, mostly I'll be getting to know the national library system and its users. I'm beyond excited to return to what is quickly becoming one of my favorite travel destinations!
